Hiring a Vice President of Operations for our McCoy Construction & Forestry Dealership in Paducah, KY

The VP of Operations will plan and direct all aspects of operational policies, objectives and initiatives. Develop and maintain high levels of safety, customer satisfaction, productivity and quality metrics. Manage a staff of personnel to ensure all company policies and procedures are followed. Promote and improve all aspects of Safety Program. Rely on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals. These goals include sales, revenue, and profit.

Essential Duties, Responsibilities, and Requirements:

  • Develop, plan, and direct all policies and procedures for operational processes to ensure optimization and compliance with established standards and regulations.
  • Provide leadership in evaluating current and proposed systems and procedures to determine and implement changes as necessary.
  • Create functional strategies, specific objectives, and develop budgets, policies, and procedures to support the functional infrastructure.
  • Maintain acute awareness of market and industry trends.
  • Participate and educate others in process quality improvement activities.
  • Promote risk management functions among all departments.
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting of operational statistics to Corporate Office.
  • Establish and maintain a fair, firm and consistent relationship with employees
  • Delegate responsibilities while maintaining accountability and a sense of urgency.
  • Maintain a positive, responsive relationship with both internal and external customers.
  • In cooperation with all departments:
    • Enforce and practice all safety, quality, and operational policies and procedures of the company.
    • Assure compliance with state, federal and company regulations and policies.
    • Always maintain and promote a positive attitude and teamwork.

Education, Skills, and Knowledge required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or finance, MBA is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of financial management and all G/L functionality.
  • Five or more years of senior operational management experience.
  • Knowledge in the fields of safety, maintenance, billing and payables, rates, contracts, customer service and operations performance.
  • Present neat, clean, professional appearance of self and equipment, and use of proper business etiquette.
  • Capacity to accept additional responsibilities and develop operations knowledge enabling promotion and possible relocation.
