Hiring Experienced Shop Service Technicians for our McCoy Construction & Forestry Dealership in Foristell, MO

McCoy Construction & Forestry, a John Deere dealership group with 25 locations across the Midwest and East South Central Regions, has an opening for a Shop Service Technician.

The Shop Service Technician position is responsible for repairing and maintaining electric, diesel and gasoline industrial, construction and forestry equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ability to make major and minor repairs on construction and forestry equipment, including but not limited to, diesel engines, fuel systems, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, transmission & axles, cooling systems, chassis repairs, and some welding.
  • Perform regular and preventative maintenance including inspections, oil changes, attachment installation, etc.
  • Utilize a computer or mobile device to perform diagnostic tests and maintain accurate records of repairs.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the shop.

Requirements:

  • Construction and forestry heavy duty diesel equipment experience required
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to make major and minor repairs on construction and forestry equipment, including but not limited to, diesel engines, fuel systems, electrics systems, hydraulic systems, transmission & axles, cooling systems, chassis repairs and some welding
  • Perform regular and preventative maintenance including inspections, oil changes, attachment installation, etc.
  • Utilize a computer or mobile device to perform diagnostic tests and maintain accurate records of repairs
  • Maintain cleanliness in the shop
  • Basic computer skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2-year associate degree from a technical school
  • 2 years of related diesel technician experience
  • Engine overhaul experience
